The garden she planted still blooms in every one of us.
Rose was born on an autumn morning in a small farming town, the eldest of six. She learned early to make much of little: to mend, to sow, to wait for the rain with patience, and to laugh out loud when at last it came.
She was a rural schoolteacher for thirty-two years. Hundreds of children learned to read at her desks, and many came back as grown-ups, parents themselves, to greet her and introduce their children. She remembered every name.
She loved her garden the way one loves a work that is never finished. On Sundays the house filled with grandchildren, with the smell of bread and roses. She passed in peace, surrounded by her family, leaving the table set for whoever might come back.
Moments her family treasures.
Words left by those who loved her.
Grandma, every rose in your garden speaks of you. Thank you for teaching us that tenderness is also strength.
Lucía, her granddaughter
She was my first-grade teacher and never forgot me. I owe her my love of words. May she rest in peace.
Daniel, former student
Sixty years of friendship are not counted, they are cherished. Farewell, dear friend.
Marta, lifelong friend
We build it together, with the same dedication. Unhurried.
